Kanel Records is a small record label run by three friends. We don’t release music because we expect – or want – a profit, and we don’t aim for a specific group of people. We release music because we love it, and we release the music we love.

A little history:

Kanel was conceived as a thought in late 2009 and born in January 2010. The primary objective was to release good music and feel good about it. Simple and pure. Pure and simple. Not that we feel holy or are trying to be canonised. The three of us have different experiences with the music industry (a word we all despise) and come from different traditions and environments. But no more about us! We will remain more or less anonymous. Go listen to the music – that’s what matters!
